Terms of Service

1.About these terms

Shihab AI is a trading name of M W Yahia, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. The person accepting must be at least 18 and authorised to bind the company. If we have signed a separate agreement with you, it takes priority where it differs from these terms.

2.The service

Shihab Accounting is cloud accounting software: double-entry books, sales, purchases and expenses, cash, banks and cheques, branches, shifts and a till, stock and payroll, tax and reports, and Ask Shihab. We improve the service continuously, and if a change materially reduces a service you use, we will tell you in advance.

3.Your account

• You are responsible for your account details, your users' passwords and the access you grant.
• Tell us straight away if you suspect someone used your account without permission.
• Access for your accountant or accounting office is your decision, and you can remove it at any time.

4.Your books and your accounting and tax duties

• Shihab Accounting is a tool that helps you keep your books and prepare your returns. The accuracy of the data you enter, posting and approval decisions, and filing returns with the authorities on time are your and your accountant's responsibility.
• Returns, reports and tax invoices are built from the rules and settings you choose: review them before you file.
• If the law requires notifying the tax authorities that you use a computerised system, filing that notice is your responsibility, and the product prepares the letter for you.

5.Artificial intelligence

Ask Shihab and document reading propose and explain. A proposal can be wrong, which is why no entry or payment posts without the approval of a person or a rule a person wrote, and every proposal shows a source you can check.

6.Your data

• The data is yours. We process it to provide the service, as our Privacy Policy explains.
• If your books contain personal data about your customers, suppliers or staff, you are responsible for having a legal basis to collect it, and we process it on your behalf.
• You can export your books and download their yearly archive at any time.

7.Acceptable use

You may not use the service to hide transactions, falsify records, launder money or do anything unlawful, try to reach another company's data, or disrupt or overload the service.

8.Subscription and fees

• Plans: Micro ₪49, Basic ₪99, Business ₪199 and Group ₪349 a month, or yearly for the price of 10 months. Features and limits are as shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes, which are added where the law requires.
• Trial: 14 days free with every feature, no card, one trial per company.
• Renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and we charge the payment method on file until you cancel.
• Changing plan: at any time. An upgrade is immediate and the difference is prorated.
• Cancellation: at any time from the subscription page, effective at the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: fees paid are not refunded, except where the law requires.
• Limits: going past a limit switches nothing off; we suggest the plan that fits.
• Price changes: we tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel before then.
• Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never receive your full card number.

9.Suspension and termination

• You can stop at any time and ask us to close your account at [email protected].
• We may suspend access if you breach these terms or the law, or if your use harms others or the service. When reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
• When the account ends, you can still download your books' archive, and we keep them for the retention period described in our Privacy Policy.

10.Intellectual property

The software, its design and the Shihab name and logo belong to Shihab AI, and you have the right to use the service for your business while your account is active. Your data and content are yours. We only name you as a customer with your permission.

11.Availability and liability

• We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, with a backup every night, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid in that period.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud.

12.Changes, law and disputes

• We may update these terms, and we tell you about significant changes at least 30 days in advance.
• These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Shihab AI is established, without removing any mandatory protection your own country's law gives you. Before any legal proceedings, each side will try in good faith to settle the dispute within 30 days.
• These terms are published in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
