That email address is the only one we use for support, privacy and account requests.

2.Signing in to the apps

The apps are for signing in only: you cannot create an account in them. A company is created on the website (accounting.shihab.co.uk), and the owner adds staff in Settings, Users: each person gets a sign-in link valid for 7 days and chooses their own password.

Sign in with your username, email or phone number and your password. If you forgot your password or you are locked out, write to us from the email or phone number on your account and we will help you back in. After several wrong attempts the app asks you to wait a few minutes before trying again.

3.Cashier view or owner view

The same app serves both, and your role decides what you see.

• Cashier and counter accounts open straight into the till, full screen, with their own shift, receipts and kitchen screen. On a phone they get the waiter and cashier flow; on a tablet, the full cashier.
• Owners and admins see everything: the dashboard, sales and purchases, reports, cheques, orders, Ask Shihab and the till. Accountants, branch managers and viewers see the parts their role allows.
• Only the owner sees the cameras (Shihab Eyes), unless the owner lets admins in.

To change someone's role, the owner opens Settings, Users on the website.

4.Cameras: installing the program on the till PC

Cameras are read by the Shihab print bridge, a small program on a PC at the branch that is on the same network as the cameras (usually the till PC). The cameras are never opened to the internet.

• On the website open Settings, Printers, the Print bridge tab and choose the Windows download. Unzip it and double-click install.cmd. If Windows says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway.
• In the same tab press Pair a print bridge: a 6-digit code shows for 10 minutes. On the PC the bridge page opens at http://127.0.0.1:9180: type the server address https://accounting.shihab.co.uk, the code and a name for the PC, then press Pair.
• Then, as the owner, open Shihab Eyes and press Add camera: a name, the place, the camera's stream address and the PC that reads it. The first picture shows within seconds, and the cameras appear in the app for the owner.

5.Microphone, camera and notifications

• Microphone: used when you talk with Shihab, record a voice note or take an order by voice. On iPhone: Settings, Shihab Accounting, Microphone. On Android: Settings, Apps, Shihab Accounting, Permissions, Microphone.
• Camera: used to photograph invoices, cheques and receipts, to scan barcodes at the till and to film a video for Ask Shihab. Same places: choose Camera.
• Talking with Shihab: on iPhone and iPad the conversation stops when the app goes to the background, and you start it again when you come back. On Android it can keep going with the screen off, and a notification shows while Shihab is listening, with a Stop button.
• Notifications: allow them when the app asks, or in the phone's Settings. Inside the app you can mute the kinds you do not want.

6.Delete your account

In the app: More, Delete my account. On the website: your name menu, My account, Delete my account. Or write to [email protected]. What is deleted, what the law makes the company keep and how long it takes: Delete your account.
